A brief update from the banks of the Qiantang, China tidal bore. It's been a successful adventure so far. The wave has been a blast for surfers to ride and most importantly, no one has been hurt and everyone has big smiles surfing the world's largest tidal bore. This year "Silver Dragon" is unusually large to do a typhoon hitting China's coastline. As a result, the river has much more water in it than usual creating a larger wave to surf. Even though this is my fourth year on the river, my first site of the wave approaching makes my stomach churn and heart beat fast. It is one of the most bizarre and unusual natural phenomenons I have ever experienced. It is one giant wall of whitewater ranging from 8-12 feet high and about a mile wide chasing you down. I am not surfing the bore this year, however, I have been hired on to do safety for the surfers who are. In a nutshell, I chase them down on a jet ski when there are things like barges, rocks, bridges and other unsafe things in the river.
This year Redbull has a big prize purse for the team who surfs the bore the best.

Snoop Dogg Live in Bali
Performing to a sold out crowd of around 3,000 people during sunset at Potato Head Beach Club, Snoop didn't disappoint for his first ever show in Bali. With a set that lasted a little over an hour and included all the classics mixed in with tributes to Biggie and 2pac, Bali was going nuts over Snoop. We had a crew there that was enjoying the festivities and sent us a couple pics. We are also very excited to be able to make Snoop a mini collection to welcome him to Indo. We made him one pair for his love of LA, and one pair for his love of reggae. Keep an eye out, you never know when Snoop is going to show up in a pair of indos.

After 4 years of pounding the pavement with a small crew, the Indosole team has grown a need for expansion in the personnel dept. 2013 has brought us some great new additions to our team: Stevie Farmer (Sales/Marketing assistant) , Kenya Stabler (Designer), Jessica Medina (Web and Graphics Support), Morgan Sterns (Graphic Design), and Britt Erickson (Event Coordination).
While planning for the future of our sales and distribution model of our fine Indo products, we realized it was time for experienced leadership at an upper management level.
We are proud and honored to have added Ed Santos to our team. Ed will be managing Global Sales efforts going forward. Ed has years of experience selling, managing, and growing distribution for surf and lifestyle companies in the past, and has already made a dramatic impact on our sales strategy and organization in the short time with us.

July 25th-26th marks the annual Agenda Tradeshow in Long Beach, CA which attracts a variety of respected apparel brands and retailers from the surf, skate, and lifestyle arena. Indosole is fortunate to be attending it's 1st ever Agenda show as an exhibitor and our whole crew has poured our hearts into a high-end presentation. Much respect to our crew for the hard work and everything is looking fab. We will be setup with a stylee 10x10 booth and displaying our new Spring/Summer 2014 line "Balifornia" at the show.
